Aoudad, wild horned sheep
of North Africa, also known as Barbary sheep. Six subspecies are found from
Morocco to Tunisia and southward into the mountains of the northern Sahara.
Introduced populations of aoudads have become established in New Mexico, Texas,
and California. |
